John Howard will be speaking on Friday January 25th 2019 (6-8pm) at The Pitch Pizza & Pub. Eating/Fellowship with John at 6pm, John speaks at 6:30pm.

John Howard is a native Springfieldian athlete who has set the land speed record for cycling at 152.2 miles per hour in 1985, not to be broken until 1995. He also competed in the 1968, 1972 and 1976 Summer Olympics earning him a Gold Medal in Men’s road cycling. He also holds a Gold Medal in the Pan Am Games for the individual road racing. Aside from road cycling, John competed in the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Hawaii; winning it 1981. Most recently, John coached Denise Mueller-Korenek in breaking the bicycling land speed record at 184 miles per hour. Plan on eating and listening to John in this casual environment.
